Happy May, everyone! It's finally beginning to feel a bit more like spring and Instagram is "blossoming" with everyone's pictures of flowers and green things. There's been a lot of things popping up in social media about wild garlic - I need to find out where I can find some locally because I'm desperate to try some as this is the best time of year to pick the stuff.
April was a pretty quiet month but seemed to feature a lot of food...burgers, steak, baked treats at work and quite a bit of katsu! How was your month?
Tv of the month: Woah, was I late to the party on this one! Again. This seems to happen a lot. I've been absolutely glued to "Pretty Little Liars" and when I say glued to, I mean I watched about 10 episodes in one day. It's a little bit "Gossip Girl" with some mystery and suspense thrown in for fun. So who is "A"..? (don't tell me, I'm just starting series 2...)
Film of the month: Mr Jones being the lovely man he is and knowing that "Trainspotting" is/was one of my all time favourite films he bought it on DVD for me. We finally watched it and it was still as excellent as the very first time I got to know Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie and Spud. I cannot WAIT for Trainspotting 2 to come out!
Book of the month: I've been crap this month. REALLY crap. As in I've not finished the book I started last month.
Favourite food of the month: The SW London and Croydon Crohn's and Colitis group have an "Alphabet Dining Club" and I finally made it to one. This dinner was "G for Greek" and held at Sappho Meze on Clapham High street. My favourite food this month isn't a single thing but the entire meal. There was pretty much no menu except meat eater, vegetarian or vegan as you pay a set amount for lots of little dishes to share across a couple of courses. It was all utterly delightful and it was so nice to meet other people with Crohn's and Colitis from all different ages and backgrounds.
Best day: It's been a pretty quiet month but there have been a few highlights - dinner (and an amazing steak) at Buenos Aires in Richmand with Mr jones, meeting for burgers at Patty and Bun with a real life blogger and going out to a "gaming" bar with the guys from work (dark, lots of screens showing stuff I didn't get and Mario Kart...)
