Mr Jones proposed to me on the 30th April 2011 at Whipsnade zoo on the slope behind the bird show. Apparently I was going to have the question popped by the penguins with the amazing view in the background while we had a picnic but I ruined it all by wanting to go and see the penguins first…
Having had to wait a few hours I'm sure Mr Jones was a bit on edge when we did finally sit down to have lunch. I had said that I was excited about seeing something or other and that when I get excited I need a nap and he said that I wasn't allowed a nap. "Why?!" Because he then knelt in front of me with a ruby and diamond ring that his dad gave his mum for their ruby anniversary. I flapped my hands, asked him several times if he meant it and then said "no one's ever asked me before!" How embarrassing! I did say yes though and then we have a fly over by a massive eagle from the bird show which was harassed by a seagull and pigeon…
So this blog is is named because well, life is just me and Mr Jones! I wanted to keep an online record of my adventures and recipes as well as improve my photography and maybe even inspire someone out there to get in the kitchen!
