Photo a Day 2015: December

It's the end of another year - cliche, cliche, cliche, but I can't believe how time flies!  I also can't believe that I've completed two whole years of this "photo a day" challenge!

December was a ridiculously busy month - me and Mr Jones both work in retail and it's naturally the busiest time of year.  On top of the usual added workload I started to look after a new group of products in November so was still trying to get my head around things like PC gaming steering wheels, flashy keyboards, all of the different types of fitness bands (there are a LOT!) and lightbulbs you can control from your phone...

December is also a month that always seems to be overflowing with food...food hampers, Christmas meals, work parties...

I was really lucky to be invited out for dinner twice with work, two nights in a row, both very different nights out which were a great way to take a break from the busy office!  The first night was in Mayfair, which was a lot more fancy than I'm used to, the second (much more in my comfort zone) was at Burger & Lobster in Soho...

Both places were completely different to one another but they were both very dark so wasn't able to "capture the moment" very well (aka taking pictures of everything I had to eat).

i started a photo a day project (PAD) in 2014 and am sill going strong! This is my photo a day roundup for December 2015

Tv of the month: Like what seems to be the rest of the world, we started watching "Making a Murderer" - we didn't get too far into the series in December but are still watching it now and it's getting nail-bitingly good!

Film of the month:  Having a little more time off work thanks to Christmas we watched quite a lot of films and it's impossible to pick one particular favourite...the funnies -  "Spy" and "Trainwreck"; something charming - "Brooklyn"; some with a little action - "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" and "The Martian".

Ear worm of the month: Thanks to my colleague at work who sit opposite me, my ear worm for December is the same as last month - "Adventure of a Lifetime" by Coldplay.  It's very hard to get an already catchy song out of your head when the person sitting opposite you hums a few bars of the song ever so often!

Favourite food of the month: Without a doubt the Chilean sea bass I had at Hakkasan - I've never had fish that was so juicy, tender and meaty!

Best day:  SO many good days! A couple of team evenings out, good food, Christmas (obviously!), mum visiting...the list is endless this month!

I use Collect to gather and sort out all of my "photo a day" pictures but do tend to also upload them to Instagram…want to see each picture from the last month?  Let's be friends!

  2. I'm always tempted to try and take a photo a day, I tried to write a memory a day but unfortunately, I'm not very good at sticking to things! I'm also listening to Coldplay at the moment too, their new material is top notch!

    1. The app I use (Collect) is really good! I thought it would be hard at first to stick with it and remember to take at least one photo each day but it turns out I usually take several photos a day so it's been pretty easy to keep it going! I love your idea of a memory a day - I think I saw some notebooks in Waterstones the last time I visited just for that sort of thing!
