Photo a Day: April

I can't believe we're almost halfway through 2014 already!  I also can't believe that I have completed yet another month of my photo a day challenge and hope that if you made a resolution you've been able to stick to it as well.

April showers bring May flowers - most of April was beautiful but the back end has just been rubbish!  If April showers bring May flowers I'm looking forward to some amazing blooms!

April also brings Easter, eggs galore and April Fools' Day.  Did you see any of the pranks across the internet?   My favourites had to be the Google Chromecast squirrel entertainment (having worked on the UK launch of it at work sans squirrels!) and the YouTube upcoming viral trends for 2014.

Song of the month: After watching "Shaun of the Dead" for the umpteenth time my latest earworm is "White Lines" by Grandmaster Flash.

Film of the month: Definitely "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty"!  I haven't the foggiest how to start describing the film but visually it was stunning!  Ben Stiller plays Walter Mitty who steps right out of his comfort zone to hunt down a missing negative.  Best parts?  The scenes in Iceland.  Just beautiful!

Tv of the month: Suits.  We only just discovered this gem of a series a couple of weeks ago so only a few years late to the party!

Favourite food of the month: Artichoke hearts.  Without a doubt.

Best day(s): So many good days this month!  First of all there was the weekend we spent in London with so many fun activities.

I was lucky enough to meet and speak to Nick Coffer on BBC Three Counties radio about Crohn's and this here little blog - such a good time!  It was lovely to meet an established blogger, cook book author and broadcaster but also fantastic to meet some lovely local ladies from Scoops and the Swan Youth Centre.  If you want to have a listen, I'm at 1:09:12!

I also had the chance to speak to Sarah Lowther on Radio Dacorum for 2 whole hours!!!  It was brilliant and I had such a great time that I'm now looking into learning more about radio presenting!

Worst day: My Grandma has been admitted to hospital again for a "fall", this time with a fracture just below her knee and also having to be put in isolation because she tested positive for MRSA.  Fingers crossed she'll recover quickly!
